Schumacher Camera is excited to announce that our ARRI AMIRA Premium Edition camera has been upgraded so that it now shoots at 4K UHD! Now this high powered camera records internally to Cfast 2.0 media in 4K UHD from .75-60fps in ProRes 4444 and in HD or 2K modes up from .75-200fps in ProRes 4444 as well. Since the AMIRA’s sensor is the same as that of the ALEXA, you’ll get the same 14 stops of dynamic range, fantastic skin-tone rendition, a native ISO of 800, and EI range from 160 to 3200 with all the benefits of a lighter weight and compact body designed for hand held as well as studio work where a high quality cinematic image is required.

We are proud to add to our inventory the new ARRI ALEXA XT camera! This camera is very similar in operation to the original ALEXA camera but with a number of significant improvements. First, through its built in XR module, you can now record ARRIRAW in camera up to 120 fps, thus eliminating the use of cumbersome external raw recorders that in the past added weight and bulk to the camera (In addition, you can still choose to record onto the standard Sony SXS PRO cards up to 120 fps in ProRes if that is all you need). Second, its Super 35mm sized 4:3 / 16:9 switchable active sensor area allows one shoot in either a 16:9 aspect ratio or use the entire 4:3 sensor area to take advantage of the full resolution of standard of the industry 2X anamorphic lenses without cropping down the image area. Finally, a new robust viewfinder mounting system as well as a super silent cooling fan are sure to make this new camera a standard of the industry filmmaking tool.

Phantom Flex 2K (by Vision Research)

The Phantom Flex offers an unprecedented degree of flexibility in all areas of high-speed image capture, and goes beyond HD to support 4-megapixel imaging, when the highest resolution is required. Depending on the shooting mode and resolution, the Flex is capable of shooting from 5 fps to over 10,750 fps.
The Phantom Flex offers two user-selectable shooting modes, each adapted to a particular shooting environment. In Standard Mode, the Phantom Flex is just like any other Phantom digital high-speed camera. Shoot at resolutions up to 2560x1600 pixels at anywhere from 10 frames-per-second up to 1,455 frames-per-second (fps). Maximum speed increases as the resolution decreases – up to 2,570 fps at 1920x1080, 5,350 fps at 1280x720, and 10,750 fps at 640x480.
In Phantom HQ Mode, Vision Research's proprietary image enhancement technology results in electronic image stability unprecedented in digital high-speed cameras: stable blacks, low noise, higher dynamic range, and repeatable shots over the full range of supported resolutions, frame rates and temperatures without the need for pre-shot black references. Maximum frame rates in HQ mode are about half those in Standard mode, which means that in HQ Mode Flex captures images at speeds up to 1,275 fps at 1920x1080 or 2,640 fps at 1280x720.
The Phantom Flex supports multiple workflows: a raw digital workflow, a video workflow, or combination of both for maximum control and flexibility.
With a video workflow, the Flex offers a video signal on the dual-link HD-SDI ports independent of the camera resolution. Set the resolution to 2560x1440 (16:9), and the camera will automatically scale the oversampled image when rendering the video signal. This technique increases the dynamic range and decreases noise in the video signal.

Phantom HD GOLD (by Vision Research)

The Phantom HD GOLD is a unique PL mounted high speed camera that can deliver up to the maximum frame rates of 1000 fps (in 1920 x 1080), 1539 fps (in 1280 x 720) or 540 fps (in 2048 x 2048) without the need for rendering, which means that you can see the results of each shot immediately.  It boasts an excellent dynamic range and has a rating of ISO 600.  In addition, its imager adds in creating the much desired 35mm depth-of-field look which can be used to isolate subjects from the foreground and background.

Just when you thought the tools for shooting motion picture images couldn’t get any more diverse Canon has introduced the EOS 5D Mark II. This is Canon’s first digital EOS camera to offer recording of Full HD video. It can shoot clips up to 12 minutes long at 30fps in full 1080p resolution (based on using a 4GB card) in addition to performing as a stellar still camera - all using the full line of widely available Canon EF lenses on the market.
One much coveted feature of the camera is its manual exposure control while shooting video. Arriflex 535B

The 535B sync sound camera operates at preset speeds of 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps, as well as 3-60 fps, forward and reverse, with a built-in speed control. The camera is equipped with a variable shutter adjustable from 11 to 180 degrees, a swingover viewfinder, Arriglow and time code. The 535B camera can be configured for hand held and Steadicam use. The camera can be set up for regular or Super 35.

Arriflex 435ES

The 435ES m.o.s. camera operates at preset speeds of 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30 fps. It has a built-in speed control which allows it to operate from 1 to 150 fps in forward and reverse. The camera is equipped with a programmable electronic variable shutter from 11 to 180 degrees and allows speed and shutter changes within a shot. The 435ES camera also includes a swingover viewfinder, Arriglow and time code. The camera can be set up for regular or Super 35.

ARRIFLEX 235

The ARRIFLEX 235 is a lightweight, modern 35mm film camera that is perfect for handheld, steadicam, remote and “C” camera work.  This PL mounted camera accepts dozens of 35mm lenses and features a bright optical viewfinder making it very desirable for any DP.

Aaton 35-III

The 35-III sync sound camera is one of the smallest and lightest hand held 35mm cameras available, weighing only 18 lbs with a 400’ load, prime lens and battery. The camera is capable of 3 to 40 fps with a built-in speed control. It has a 4 stage shutter 180, 172.8, 150 and 144 degrees, Aatonite illuminated ground glass and swing over viewfinder. The ergonomically designed magazines are set up for quick change out. The parallel attachment ports at the top and bottom of the camera allow it to be mounted on a Steadicam in a matter of minutes. The camera can be set up for regular or Super 35 and incorporates the easy to use Aaton time code.
